Ella Strudley is a Solicitor at Matti Lamb & Associates who practises in wills and estates and in personal injury. She acts for people making a will, executors administering an estate, people contesting how an estate has been divided, and people injured in an accident or at work. She graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2026 and was admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of South Australia in May 2026, after completing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Ella joined the firm in 2022 as a Law Clerk and moved into a solicitor role following her admission, so she has worked alongside the firm’s estates and injury teams for several years. She works from the firm’s Hawthorn office and acts for clients across South Australia.
How Ella Works with Clients
Ella works to achieve practical, positive outcomes and is known for being approachable and paying close attention to detail. She is conscious that people usually come to a lawyer at a difficult point in their lives, and she aims to guide clients through the process with clear communication and without unnecessary formality.
Her particular interests are:
- Family provision claims, which is where someone left out of a will, or left less than they expected, applies to the court for a share of the estate
- Wills, probate and letters of administration, meaning the court process that gives an executor or a relative authority to deal with a deceased person’s assets
- Motor vehicle accident claims
- Victims of crime claims
- Workers compensation claims
The firm’s estate disputes team takes what it describes as a no-fuss, pragmatic approach and prefers to resolve matters by negotiation or mediation rather than going to court, while still running a case in court where that is needed.
If you need a will drawn up, you are dealing with an estate, you believe you have been unfairly left out of one, or you have been injured, Ella can explain where you stand and what the process involves. Outside the office she follows sport and enjoys South Australia’s wine regions, restaurants and coffee spots. You can email her at [email protected], call 08 8155 5322, or get in touch to arrange a time to talk.
