Fraser Lamb is a Partner and joint founder of Matti Lamb & Associates, which he set up with Yousif Matti in 2020. He has been practising since 2011 and works across civil litigation, which covers disputes between people, businesses and government bodies that may end up in court. His practice takes in compulsory acquisition, sports law, personal injury, family law, and wills and contested estates.
Much of Fraser’s work involves compulsory acquisition, where a government body takes privately owned land for a public project and the owner is entitled to compensation. He acts for people on the receiving end of that process, along with people injured in an accident or at work, and people dealing with a dispute over a will. He works from the firm’s Hawthorn office and acts for clients across South Australia.
How Fraser Works with Clients
Fraser takes the same thorough approach to every file regardless of the amount at stake, so a small dispute gets the same preparation as a large one. That matters in litigation, where the strength of your position often depends on how well the groundwork was done early.
The firm resolves disputes through alternative dispute resolution wherever it can, meaning negotiation or mediation rather than a courtroom, and its litigation team prepares clients for either path. The same approach applies to estate disputes, where the firm describes its method as no-fuss and pragmatic, aimed at resolving matters efficiently and without unnecessary cost.
If your land is being acquired, you have been injured, or you are in a dispute that may end up in court, Fraser can set out your options and what each one is likely to involve. Outside work he is a family man with an interest in sport, coffee and dining out. You can email him at [email protected], call 08 8155 5322, or get in touch to arrange a time to talk.
